The Wind
Based on the poetry of Robert Louis Stevenson, "The Wind" for 3-part mixed choir, is a haunting and evocative piece for middle school, high school, or community children's choirs. The tonality is a blend of minor/modal harmonies and invokes a moody, Romantic mood. Melody lines feature expanded intervals for intensity. Interesting modulations and lush harmonies are all still within an early intermediate level. Excellent Festival or Recital work!
