Tuba Solo (beginner) - A Bumpy Waltz
Give your beginning Tuba player something better to play than oom pah pah! Here is a great first solo for any tuba player utilizing only six notes. A Bumpy Waltz features articulations, dynamics and basic rhythms. Any student will feel confident and sound fantastic even at the very earliest stages of learning. The middle B section teaches 'accompaniment skills' so important to low brass instruments; the piano takes the melody and the tuba provides support. The return to the A section puts the tuba in the melody again.
Part of the Beginning Band Basics instrumental solo series for Beginner and Intermediate/Junior levels. This series presents a First Solo for each band instrument featuring key educational elements utilized by all starting band students.
